Clay Alchemist has been making illustrations, animations, and tutorials on how to make things since 2006.  Characters are created using plasticine clay, the same medium of choice for clay animation.  It is temporary art, created with the sole purpose of being photographed only to be melted down afterwards.

Characters have traveled as far as New York, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado and all the places in-between.

Made in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Interested in buying prints?

All work is professionally printed onto Fuji metallic paper for an exceptionally vivid reproduction of each illustration. Most people will only want the print, but if you are like me and wish to hang the prints directly onto the wall, I also offer 1/4” Sintra-mounted prints. They come with hangers which are simple to install with a few taps of a hammer.

If you wish to use photo frames, I recommend either buying just the print or a print mounted on Styrene. Styrene is a lightweight substrate that will prevent the art from warping and rippling in a frame. While Sintra does the same, it is significantly thicker and heavier and not optimal for putting into many frames.

Shoot me an email for print inquiries and questions at work@clayalchemist.com.

Minimum of three unmounted 8x12” or 8x10” prints. No minimum all other sizes, regardless of whether it is mounted or not.

$12 shipping on all 20x30" or larger print orders. Free shipping on all smaller sizes.

I accept cash, check, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Venmo. Checks need to be cleared before shipping of prints.

Print Costs

8x12” Print- $15 (Sintra +$20 or Styrene +$5)

12x18” Print- $30 (Sintra +$45 or Styrene +$10)
